Dispute Resolution: Employment and Employment-related Business Litigation
Abby Silverman serves as a mediator, discovery referee and an arbitrator in employment law disputes — discrimination, retaliation, employment agreements, wrongful termination and lay-offs and employment-related business disputes — founder/company disputes, competition, corporate governance, trade secrets, confidentiality and unfair business practices. She also serves as an independent investigator for workplace and governance issues, and as a consultant.
Abby Silverman is a knowledgeable, effective and skilled problem solver. Her practice is built on a long and successful career in litigation, dispute resolutions and counseling. Her prior law practice with Baker & McKenzie, LLP, a leading international law firm, focused on employment law and related business issues, including employment relationships and agreements, corporate governance, trade secret and confidential information controversies, discrimination, and cross-border employment issues. Her background demonstrates in-depth litigation and alternative dispute resolution experience in a variety of industries — life sciences, law firms, temporary staffing and executive search firms, hospitality, retail and finance, and real estate.
Having served in several law firm management roles, Abby Silverman understands the business context and personal implications of employment, as well as workforce issues. In addition, as a credentialed mediator and trained (MSW) social worker, her prior background, training and experience combine to enhance her effectiveness.
