DISPUTE RESOLUTIONS:
Mediation and Arbitration

Employment and Employment-related Business Disputes
Abby Silverman’s mediation and arbitration practice is built on a long and successful career in litigation, dispute resolution and counseling. Her prior law practice with a leading international law firm focused on employment law and related business issues, including employment relationships and agreements, corporate governance, trade secret and confidential information controversies, discrimination, and cross-border employment issues. Her background demonstrates in-depth litigation and alternative dispute resolution experience focusing on employment issues in a variety of industries. She has an understanding of both the business context and personal implications of employment and workforce issues.

Ms. Silverman is a knowledgeable, effective and skilled problem solver. As a credentialed mediator, she is a member of the National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) Employment/Workforce panel (www.ncrconline.com), the San Diego Superior Court Civil Mediation Panel (www.sdcourt.ca.gov), and the American Arbitration Association’s (AAA) mediation program (www.adr.org).

Approach to Mediation
Ms. Silverman enters each mediation assignment as a respectful, skillful and well-informed consensus builder. She designs the mediation process to suit the complexity of the issues, the size of the problem and the expectations of the participants.

Approach to Arbitration
Recognizing that arbitration results in a final and binding decision, Ms. Silverman respects the trust the parties place in an arbitrator. She has the insight, experience and temperament to deliver a just result by being well-prepared, fair-minded and decisive.

Ms Silverman offices with her former colleagues Renee Schor and Cynthia Freeland, Schor & Freeland LLP (www.schorfreeland.com), and her primary location for mediation sessions and arbitration hearings is 600 B Street, Suite 2200, San Diego, Calif., 92101.
